Description of Significance ATTRIBUTED TO CHOCTAW CHIEF THOMAS LEFLORE, THIS CABIN IS ALLEGEDLY ONE CONSTRUCTED FOR LEFLORE AS A STIPULATION IN THE TREATY THAT RESULTED IN THE REMOVAL OF THE CHOTAWS TO INDIAN TERRITORY. WHILE SOURCES DISPUTE THIS HISTORY, IT IS NONETHELESS A SIGNIFICANT REPRESENTATIVE OF EARLY LOG CONSTRUCTION IN INDIAN TERRITORY. IT FEATURES HEWN LOGS WITH SQUARE NOTCHES, STONE CHIMNEYS, AND A DOG TROT ARRANGEMENT. LISTED IN NATIONAL REGISTER 6/21/71.
